Ballardsville Baptist - Honduras

We are a group of 15 busssssy people.

Our team is building a parsonage for pastor Edwin in Ayapa, having VBS at ¨Emanuel¨ Baptist in Yoro, showing Jesus film in different locations every other night and preaching two revivals while here.

God is doing great things in us and through us. People is commingto Christ every day. We had the opportunity to address the whole city on the radio today, and tomorrow we are scheduled to share through another radio station tomorrow morning.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday night we are going to preach a revival at Berea Baptist Church (pastor Franklin) and they just told us that this three nights are going to be broadcasted live through the internet (more details to come).

Is great to be back on the field. It is very humbling to be part of what is already doing here. Please pray for us. To GOD be the glory!

Nicaragua Trip was GREAT!

I have really busy. We got back to the US on Saturday Jan. 31 and I left for Honduras on Sunday Feb. 1st.

The trip to Nicaragua was very special. We worked very hard and accomplished a lot, not only on the construction project, but in the building of stronger ties with the national church and the community in general.

The Cumberland Presbyterian Team from Tennessee, Texas e Indiana was a very special bunch, full of compassion, and love for those they ministered to.

Right now, my access to internet is extremely limited. I will post more details and pictures when I get back home, middle Feb.

Nicaragua Days 3 & 4...

Monday Jan 26 was a good day. We started the construction project, had VBS and The first of three nights of Street revival. It was a very good day. God blessed us with a gorgeous weather, materials where on the site, between 35 and 40 children attended VBS in the afternoon and one person got saved in the evening.

Tuesday Jan 27 was not a difference on the weather. Construction is going well, we are starting to "see" progress. We had around 40 children for VBS plus Moms. This has being a really good testimony for the community. We are even using a school near by the church for this activity. Two people came to the Lord at night and a few others rededicated their lives.

We can really "feel" your prayers. Thanks a lot.

In NIcaragua ... Days 1&2

We left Atlanta Saturday January 24 at 6:45 PM. The trip to Esteli was good. A little over three hours on the plane from Atlanta to Managua, and around other three hours from Managua to Esteli. We arrived around 1 AM on Sunday.


We went to church at the construction Site in La Trinidad, (9 AM) about half an hour away from Esteli, where we are staying. I shared with youth and adults. It was great to get in contact with the congregation where are spending most of the time. Pastor Eliseo and his flock are really nice people. (Manantial de Amor Baptist Church)



After Sunday School we went back to the hotel to repack for the week

Tonight we went to Iglesia Bautista Fundamental La Trinidad, with pastor Eduardo. After the message a good group of people responded. One man came to the Lord. Praise tGod!

Tomorrow ... the real fun begins. Construction, VBS, and Revival Services. Awesome!

Here we go!

Our first Mission Trip for 2009 is around the corner. We will be in Nicaragua Jan. 24-31 with a Construction/Evangelism/Children Ministry Team.

Along with a Volunteers Team from various Cumberland Presbyterian Churches from around Jackson, TN, we will be laying the foundation for the building of a new church plant, led by pastor Eliseo Molina, in La Trinidad, about 20 miles south of Esteli, in North - Central Nicaragua.

Besides construction, we will do outreach to the children in the area through a Bible School, and to the community through a four day revival on the streets of Esteli. We will just set up a platform and share the Good News every evening.

Please pray with us that many people will come to know the Lord during this week.

Leadership Training - Honduras

On Dec. 10-14. 2008 God gave us the opportunity to share about His grace in the cities of Yoro and La Ceiba in Honduras.

We taught "How to Live an Abundant Live" to over 40 pastors and leaders in Yoro and with more than 50 in La Ceiba. It was a very humbling time for all of us. At the end of each day many of them came to ask God to renew them, to empower them and to make them better servants. The thirst they have for the Lord, and their desire to experience God in a deeper way is very encouraging.

Please pray with us for God's wisdom as we come to minister in Honduras during 2009.

Back to the field!

Dear family and friends,

As many of you know, we are going back to full time ministry Jan 1, 2009. Please pray for us that God will give us the wisdom, the strength, and the joy to continue serving Him in Latin America.

Indigenous Church Planting and Leadership Equipping-Training are our main focus while working with volunteer teams from around South-East USA.

We will continue to live in Atlanta area and, for this coming year, lead teams to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Mexico and Brazil.
